Remember

Sometimes I wish I could take it all back
Every feeling, thought, word, deed
Really focus on the things I need
To remember.

I’d rebuild relationships that now have failed
Fix the problems I couldn’t see
Through blindness, poor forethought, ecstasy
And remember.

Sometimes I wish that I’d recalled
This same thought I’d had before
I’d pay attention a little more
And remember.

Now it’s too late to try again
I only can go forward now
And pay attention to my plow
